CHARACTERISTICS OF RESOURCES
Presently, the patent department is a depository for patent documents combined with the specialized reading hall. Its current capacity is 1,300,000 copies, and 1,230,000 of them are presented as invention descriptions for Author Certificates and Patents issued in Russia and former USSR, including 30,000 copies on CD's. There are also official publications of Rospatent, information bulletins and guides of Russian Institute of Patent Information, miscellaneous literature on patent legislation.
Besides conventional library service, the Branch of SPSL SB RAS gives to its clients the opportunity to perform computer search in available data bases. After 1994, our clients can use DB "Patents of Russia" on CD-ROM. Specialists of the Branch also made the original database - Inventions of Novosibirsk Scientific Center from 1978 till 1994 (in Russian) [Choose special menu option].
