SciGuide is an electronic directory of foreign and Russian open access scientific resources on the Internet. The aim of the directory is to assist users to locate open access academic and scholarly content and to facilitate science communication for researchers and experts of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SB RAS). The directory is being developed jointly by the Branch and the Department of Collection Development and Acquisitions of the State Public Scientific Technical Library of SB RAS.

*The ACM Digital Library (dl.acm.org)  ► ACM has opened the articles published during the first 50 years of its publishing program, from 1951 through the end of 2000, These articles are now open and freely available to view and download.
*Bibliotekar Dot Ru (bibliotekar.ru/)  ► Bibliotekar Dot ru is a collection of non-fiction editions on Russian and world history, art, culture, applied sciences. It contains books, serials, handbooks, and textbooks for college and university students.
*The Cook’s Precious Box (Kulinarny Larets) (bibliotekar.ru/)  ► A vast collection of cook books to bring the world into your kitchen, old Russian editions and books featuring recipes of the Caucasus, as well as many countries around the world.
*DePaul University Library Digital Collections (digicol.lib.depaul.edu/)  ► The DePaul University Library Digital Collections contain digitized books, manuscripts, images, maps and other materials held by the University Library. Dating from 1493 to the mid-20th century, DePaul's map collections contain cartographic creations by early modern mapmakers and printers such as Münster, Ortelius, Mercator, and Jansson and progress through Bonne's new global representations for Diderot's 1788 Encyclopédie to the transit and tourism routes of Chicago's Century of Progress and beyond.
*Dimensions (app.dimensions.ai/)  ► The Dimensions scholarly database includes research articles, books, chapters, awarded grants, patents, clinical trials, and policy documents. The publication database component of Dimensions is free, and registration is not required to search for articles and authors or to discover links to grants and patents. Nevertheless, registration is encouraged in the event that one’s institution enables a paid feature such as seamless access to institutionally licensed content.
*ePosters (eposters.net/)  ► ePosters is an open-access library providing free access to over 6,300 scientific and medical posters presented at conferences from around the world.
*Electronekrasovka (electro.nekrasovka.ru)*A digital collection of the Nekrasov Library (Russia). It contains books, newspapers and magazines published in 1564-1991. Among them are especially rare and valuable publications such as “The Song of Igor’s Campaign” of 1800, The “Psalter with Martin Luther's Commentaries” of 1610, “The Acts of Peter the Great” of 1790, “The Rule of Five Orders of Architecture” of 1564 year.

*GlobalEventList (www.globaleventslist.elsevier.com)* Elsevier's online directory of scientific and medical events from around the world.
*E-Heritage (e-heritage.ru/)  ► E-Heritage is part of a Russian Academy of Sciences’ program aiming to preserve and provide access to research works of famous Russian and foreign scientists.
*HighWire (highwire.stanford.edu)* HighWire Press at Stanford University develops and maintains the Web versions of important journals in biomedicine and other disciplines. A list of journals with free full-text articles online is available.
*Library of Congress - Digital Collections (www.loc.gov/collections/)* Images of birds, American Revolution, historic sites, hats, libraries, shoes, tennis, horses, cars etc. are just a small example of the digital collections of the Library of Congress in Washington, DC, that are free to use and reuse. These digital collections contain millions of items such as photos, maps, books, newspapers, manuscripts, prints, musical scores, films, sound recordings and more. Researchers, students, writers, artists, ordinary people have access to original manuscripts, ancient maps, rare books, photographs, films, and many other documents that help to understand and interpret our history, the history of humanity.
* Matmatch (matmatch.com)* An online materials search platform that connects engineers and material suppliers through the most comprehensive materials database in the world and helps product designers and engineers to find, evaluate and source materials. With a database of thousands of materials, an intuitive search tool, and supplier listings, it changes the way product teams find materials for their projects.
*MegaCampus (e-biblio.ru/xbook/new/xbook0001/index.html)  ► The electronic collection of Russian editions published in the18th-20th centuries. MegaCamus is primarily an educational resource that aims at including thousands of Russian language publications issued during the period of the end of the 18th century till 1930s.
*Moshkov’s Digital Library (lib.ru/)  ► A major Russian internet library, started in 1994. Contains modern and classic works of fiction, science fiction, nonfiction, historical literature, poetry, philosophy etc.
*National Academies Press (nap.edu/)  ► National Academies Press publishes reports produced by the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine. These institutions provide leadership on challenging scientific issues by presenting information that informs and educates. The collection of over 5500 publications includes brief reports of less than 10 pages and comprehensive books of over 400 pages. Many have an educational focus while others address public policy issues. New releases cover topics in sustainable agriculture, health literacy, and nuclear safety. Most books on this site are freely available to read online or to download in pdf.
*Nauchny Korrespondent (http://nauchkor.ru/)* A Russian site dedicated to publishing undergraduate research and theses.
*New York Public Library Digital Collection (digitalcollections.nypl.org/)  ► 908,647 items digitized from The New York Public Library's collections. This site is a living database with new materials added every day, featuring prints, photographs, maps, manuscripts, streaming video, and more.
* Nobel Prize.org (nobelprize.org)* The official web site of the Nobel Prize. Here you will find information for every Nobel Prize since 1901, including the Nobel Laureates' biographies, Nobel Lectures, interviews, photos, articles, video clips, press releases, educational games and more.
*Open Data Hub (http://hub.opengovdata.ru/)* A Russian catalog and repository of open data.
*PaperCrowd (papercrowd.com/)* A free, community-driven, directory of academic conferences. Organisers use PaperCrowd to find new researchers for their event. Researchers use PaperCrowd to find new conferences they wish to attend.
*PhD in Russia (phdru.com/)  ►A Russian portal for graduate postgraduate students, postdoctoral researchers, contains useful information regarding writing and defending theses and dissertations.
*Russian National Digital Library (rusneb.ru/)  ► Russian National Digital Library’s collection of research and technical literature. The access is free for citizens of the Russian Federation, providing that before that users log in to the Public Services of the Russian Federation Portal.
*Scientific Sibirika (webirbis.spsl.nsc.ru)* Nature, History, Economy, Culture, Science of Siberia and the Far East. The bibliographic database includes Russian and foreign publications (monographs, articles from journals, magazines, newspapers), from the  collections of the State Public Scientific Technical Library of the Siberian Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences (SB RAS), libraries of the SB RAS, links to open access Internet resources. The database is updated on a monthly basis.
*TEHNE Library (tehne.com/library)  ►Collection of books on construction, architecture and design developed and maintained on the Russian portal TEHNE.
*Theater Library (teatr-lib.ru)*The Theater Library collected by Anton Sergeev encompasses material offering significant insight into theatre and performance studies.
*Totalarch (books.totalarch.com/)  ► Books on architecture and construction published mainly in the USSR period.
*Wolfram Demonstrations Project (demonstrations.wolfram.com)* An open-code resource that uses dynamic computation to illuminate concepts in science, technology, mathematics, art, finance, and a remarkable range of other fields.
*World Digital Library (WDL) (loc.gov/collections/world-digital-library/)* A project of the U.S. Library of Congress, carried out with the support of the UNESCO, and in cooperation with libraries, archives, museums, educational institutions, and international organizations from around the world. The WDL makes available on the Internet, free of charge and in multilingual format, significant primary materials from all countries and cultures.
