SciGuide is an electronic navigator of foreign open access scientific resources on the Internet. The aim of the navigator is to assist users find open access academic and scholarly content and to facilitate science communication for researchers and experts of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SB RAS). The navigator is being developed jointly by the Branch and the Department of Foreign Collection Development of the State Public Scientific Technical Library of SB RAS.

*GeoGuide Startseite (www.geo-guide.de)*The Geo-Guide is a subject gateway to scholarly relevant websites in earth sciences, geography and mining maintained in cooperation by the Goettingen State and University Library and University Library "Georgius Agricola" Freiberg.
*Geology.com (geology.com)  ► A project of Hobart M. King, Ph.D., a licensed professional geologist who provides an actual information on geology and adjacent sciences in cooperation with leading US geology organizations.
*Global Volcanism Program (www.volcano.si.edu/index.cfm)  ► A project of the Smithsonian Institution's Global Volcanism Program (GVP) that deals with the research in the field of global volcanic activity. Thematic interactive maps, diagrams, and other sources are provided.
* Global Change Master Directory. Portal for Open Geospatial Consortium. (gcmd.nasa.gov/KeywordSearch/Home.do?Portal=ogc&MetadataType=0)  ► The portal includes information on Earth sciences, methods and instruments to study Earth and its atmosphere, ecology.
*IRIS Seismic Monitor (www.iris.edu/seismon)  ► Created in 1984 with the support of National Science Foundation, an interactive map of world seismic activity that has been made by a consortium of 100 U.S. research institutions.
*Mineralogy Database - Mineral Collecting, Localities, Mineral Photos and Data (www.mindat.org)*The largest mineral database and mineralogy reference website on the internet. This site contains worldwide data on minerals, mineral collecting, mineral localities and other mineralogical information.
*Mineralogy Database (webmineral.com)*The site contains 4,714 individual mineral species descriptions with links and a comprehensive image library. crystallography, crystal structures, chemical composition, physical and optical properties.
*OneGeology Portal (portal.onegeology.org)  ► This site offers an interactive geology world map with the possibility to extend it by a variety of layers (lithological indicators, the age of rocks etc.). The data are provided in English and French.
*OpenGeoscience (www.bgs.ac.uk/opengeoscience)  ► A portal of British Geological Survey that offers completely free geological information.
*Pacific Northwest Seismic Network (www.pnsn.org)  ► The resource contains links to data bases on world seismic research. The site is supported by Pacific Northwest Seismic Network.
*U.S. Geological Survey (www.usgs.gov)  ► Containing 10000 specialists, the geological organization collects professional scholarly articles, geological forecasts (including forecasting of earthquakes and total seismic activity), and relevant photographs.
