SciGuide is an electronic directory of foreign and Russian open access scientific resources on the Internet. The aim of the directory is to assist users to locate open access academic and scholarly content and to facilitate science communication for researchers and experts of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SB RAS). The directory is being developed jointly by the Branch and the Department of Collection Development and Acquisitions of the State Public Scientific Technical Library of SB RAS.

Newspapers

*ANNO (anno.onb.ac.at/)  ►Digital archive of historical Austrian newspapers and magazines, published between 1716 - 1940. ANNO, which is short for "AustriaN Newspapers Online," is a digitization initiative of the Austrian National Library and functions as its "virtual newspaper reading room." This web resource makes historical Austrian newspapers and magazines available for online browsing and reading. Search options include browse-by-title, a list for access by specific year, and field searching for a few selected newspapers.
*Chronicling America. Historic Anerican Newspapers (chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/)*A website providing access to information about historic newspapers and select digitized newspaper pages, and is produced by the National Digital Newspaper Program (NDNP). NDNP, a partnership between the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the Library of Congress (LC), is a long-term effort to develop an Internet-based, searchable database of U.S. newspapers with descriptive information and select digitization of historic pages.
*Delpher Kranten (delpher.nl/nl/kranten)* A database of digital daily newspapers of the Netherlands.
*Electronic Archive of National Periodicals (press.natlib.uz/)  ► The Electronic Archive of the National Periodical Press is access to full-text electronic versions of newspapers published on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
*ICON newspaper database (icon.crl.edu/database.php)* ICON (International Coalition on Newspaper) is the most comprehensive source of information about significant newspaper collections in print, digital and micro formats. The large and growing database is designed to inform library decisions on the development, management and preservation of newspaper collections.
*International Newspapers Online (guides.library.upenn.edu/)*A project of the University of Pennsylvania that concontains references to digitized American newspapers since 1802 (libraries and universities).
*Librarium.fr (librarium.fr/ru/magazines)*An archive of illustrated publications of Russian emigration dated between World Wars I and II.
*Russian Newspapers Online and Offline (nlr.ru/res/)  ► The goal of the Russian newspaper navigator is to help you explore the wealth of Russian newspapers of past and present. It contains links to full text resources, newspaper catalogues, various handbooks and tools for helping you work with newspapers. The directory focuses mostly on collections and electronic resources of the Russian National Library and also includes all known electronic resources, freely available, registration based and only available for user of the Library.
*Small Town Newspaper (www.smalltownpapers.com)*A newspaper directory featuring small town newspapers and articles. The scanned newspaper archive from 1865 up to the current edition.
*Vozrozhdenie (diglib4.princeton.edu)*Archive of the Russian emigré newspaper, part of the Historical Periodicals project. This site contains a collection of historic periodicals, digitized from the Princeton University's collections.
