From the authors
Since February, 1998, the Branch of SPSL SB RAS provides the digest "Russian Science and the World". Materials are selected from British and American informational sources available through the Internet. Information search is made by the keywords connected with "Russian Science". Special attention is paid to topical trends of sciences (physics, energetics, cosmonautics, biomedicine, ecology, etc.), and also to correspondent state-of-art technologies connected with them. Scientific journals and news sites such as Nature, New Scientist, Popular Science Magazine, ScienceDaily Magazine, Science On-Line, Scientific American, Scientist to Scientist, Scientist, Search, UniScience News are used as the source of information. The reader can see how the foreign press reflects the problems of Russian science. The digest is presented in two versions - printed and electonic.
