Academician K.I.Zamaraev is an outstanding scientist, widely famous in Russia and abroad, an eminent organizer of science and the talented superviser. From 1984 to 1996, K.Zamaraev headed G.K.Boreskov Institute of catalysis.
K.I.Zamaraev has made a great contribution to the development of theory and practice of the catalysis science. His works into the study of the mechanisms of catalytic reactions and the structures of active sites, his investigations in the field of photochemistry and the development of catalytic reactors to tap solar energy are of fundamental importance, together with his works into the study of theoretical bases of spin exchange in solutions and its applications in chemistry.
Cyril Ilich was among the pioneers in the research of the structure of active sites of catalysts and key intermediates in homogeneous and heterogeneous catalytic reactions by NMR, EPR, and ICR spectroscopy methods.
During his last years, Cyril Ilich paid great attention to environmental problems, to advanced technologies. His most famous works include those in the field of conversion of solar energy into chemical as a basis to develop environmently safe power of the future, his works on photocatalytic reactions and their influence upon the processes in the atmosphere, as well as his work on creating the new catalysts and catalytic technologies for the environment protection. Under his direction, the Institute began a cycle of works into the adoption of membrane technologies in catalysis. K.I.Zamaraev's works form the basis for the development of catalytic chemistry of the future.
K.I.Zamaraev has published 3 monographs and more than 300 scientific works in national and foreign editions.
The electronic resource that is devoted to his life and work consists of a biobibliographic index, tables of contents of monographs, and the collections of full texts of certain works of the scientist and publications about him.
The biobibliographic index reflects materials, editorial works, certificates of authorship for his inventions and patents, publicistic articles, as well as the literature about the scientist.
Catalogues, funds, and electronic resources of the State Public Scientific Technical Library of SB RAS (including the databases "Novosibirsk scientific-and-educational complex" and "the Science in Siberia and in the Far East") and of the Institute of catalysis library of SB RAS have been used in the work on the biobibliography, as well as the Internetresources.
Materials of the index are arranged chronologically in two basic sections: "the Index of works of K.I.Zamaraev" and "Literature on his life and work".
