Academician Bogdan Vyacheslavovich Voitsekhovsky is an outstanding scientist in mechanics and physics, an eminent researcher and designer who has made the large contribution to science and the national economy.
Work of Bogdan Vyacheslavovich deals with a wide scope of problems in physics of explosion, hydropulse equipment, atmospheric electricity, and wind power sources. One of the brightest and talented disciples of Mikhail Alekseevich Lavrentyev, he was actively involved in creating the Novosibirsk scientific center.
Since 1958, B.V.Voitsekhovsky worked in the Institute of hydrodynamics of SB AS USSR at the position of the Head of a laboratory, the head of the department of quick processes. Since 1965 to 1973, he was the deputy director of the institute.
An outstanding scientific intuition, ingenuity, non-standard way of looking at theoretical, experimental, and technological problems allowed him to overcome the most complicated problems, insolvable over many years, with relatively simple means.
The electronic resource that is devoted to his life and work is made up of a biobibliographic index, tables of contents of monographs, and the collection issues of full texts of certain works of the scientist, and publications about him.
The biobibliographic index reflects proceedings, editorial works, certificates of authorship on inventions and patents, publicistic articles, and public speeches, as well as the literature on the scientist.
Founders of the resource express their thanks to the collaborators of the library of the M.A.Lavrentyev Institute of hydrodynamics of SB RAS, particularly to L.D.Vakulenko, the bibliographer, for the granted materials on the bibliography of B.V.Voitsekhovsky.
The catalogues, stocks, and electronic resources of the State Public Scientific Technical Library of SB RAS and the library of the M.A.Lavrentyev Institute of hydrodynamics of SB RAS, as well as the Internet resources have been used while working on the biobibliography .
Materials of the index are arranged chronologically in two basic subdivisions: "Index of works" of B.V.Voitsekhovsky (with the list of inventions) and "the literature on his life and work".
The sources that we have failed to see de visu have been remarked with * ("an asterisk"). Standard abbreviations are used throughout the index.
