Academician Vladislav Vladislavovich Voyevodskii (1917-1967) is presently one of the largest scientists in the field of chemical physics.
Vladislav Vladislavovich was one of the most talented disciples of academicians N.N.Semenov and V.N.Kondratyev. His scientific views have formed under their influence. V.V.Voevodskii's first works were devoted to the fundamentals of the theory of branching chain reactions.
V.V.Voevodskii was among the first ones in the USSR who has understood the importance of application of radiospectral methods, in particular an electronic paramagnetic resonance method and nuclear resonance in chemical research. Therefore since 1955 the main direction of his scientific research was the properties and chemical transformations of free radicals in diversified chemical processes by means of radiospectroscopy. This research has resulted in creating the Soviet school of chemical radiospectroscopy, which have won a world recognition.
The scope of scientific interests of V.V.Voevodskii was surprisingly wide: from the mechanism of reactions in gas phase up to the problems of chemistry of condensed systems, and in his last years, some biological issues. Vladislav Vladislavovich possessed a rare ability to seize the main essence of works even in those fields of chemistry, in which he was not an expert. Broad erudition allowed him to generalize a vast number of diversified research, ideas, and theories. V.V.Voevodskii is the author of numerous reviews, monographs, and original scientific works.
Electronic resource devoted to his life and work consists of biobibliographic index, tables of contents for monographs, and collection issues, full texts of some works of scientist, and publications about him.
The biobibliographic index reflects proceedings, editorial works, certificates of authorship on the inventions and patents, as well as the literature about the scientist.
Resource creators express their thanks to the collaborators of library of Institute of chemical kinetics and combustion of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science for the granted materials into V.V.Voevodskii's bibliography.
Materials of index are arranged chronologically in two basic sections: " Index of works of V.V.Voevodskii" and " Literature on his life and work".
Sources which we have failed to look at de visu have been marked with an asterisk *. The standard abbreviations are used in the index.
