Academician Vladimir Mikhailovich Titov is the outstanding specialist in the field of experimental physics and one of the disciples M.A.Lavrentyev. It was he to whom Mikhail Alekseyevich passed over the leadership in the scientific school he created on the physics and the mechanics of explosion processes.

V.M.Titov is the director of M.A.Lavrentyev Institute of hydrodynamics, the editor-in-chief of Physics of combustion and explosion magazine, the member of the National committee on the theoretical and applied mechanics.

Researches of Vladimir Mikhailovich were recognized in our country and abroad.
