Konstantin Konstantinovich Svitashev (1936-1999), corresponding member of RAS, is an outstanding scientist in the field of semiconductor physics. He was a largest expert in the field of microphotoelectronics, electronic and physicochemical processes on the surface of semi-conductor structures and at their interfaces as well as in theory and practical use of optical ellipsometry method to research surface properties of solids and to control technological processes in manufacture of semi-conductor devices.
K.K.Svitashev's has made a great contribution in the development of the Institute of physics of semiconductors. Owing to his efforts, the Institute became one of the leading scientific institutes in Russia, and the scientific results that have been attained therein have won the world recognition.
K.K.Svitashev has a great merit for solving the most urgent all-Russian problem, to develop a technology to obtain super pure single-crystal silicon, the basis for micro- and nanoelectronics of the twenty first century.
K.K.Svitashev is the author of more than 180 learned works on the problems of physics of the surface of semiconductors and thin films.
The electronic resource that is devoted to the life and work of K.K.Svitashev, corresponding member of RAS, includes a biobibliographic index, tables of contents of monographs and collection issues, full texts of certain works of the scientist and publications about him.
The biobibliographic index reflects learned works, editorial works, certificates of authorship for his inventions and patents, publicistic articles and public speeches, and literature on the scientist.
Catalogues, stocks, and electronic resources of the State Public Scientific Technical Library of SB RAS and of the library of the SB RAS Institute of semiconductor physics, as well as Internet resources have been used when working on the biobibliography.
