Academician Anatoly Vasilevich Rzhanov (1920-2000) is the largest scientist in the field of semiconductor physics.

Academician A.V.Rzhanov, the founder and the first director of the Institute of semiconductor physics, is among the famous cohort of the founders of the Siberian branch, the scientists who have arrived to Siberia in the late 50s - the early 60s. By that time, A.Rzhanov had an experience of the involvement in operations on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War near Leningrad that had been distinguished by heavy wounds and fighting awards, postgraduate study, and the defense of the PhD dissertation in the well-known Physical institute, successful work on the creation of the country-first semi-conductor transistor on behalf of S.Vavilov, the director of PhIAS and the President of AS USSR.

In 1962, he moved to Novosibirsk Akademgorodok under the invitation of the academician M.A.Lavrentyev with a group of scientific associates of PhIAS, where he organizes the Institute of physics of solid and semi-conductor electronics (subsequently the Institute of semiconductor physics), the director of which he stayed for 30 years. More than 5 years, he also was the vice-president of the Siberian branch.

A huge work into studying the surface of semiconductors and semiconductor interfaces with metals, dielectrics, vacuum, gas media, into investigation of thin films and heterostructures that has been performed under the guidance of A.V.Rzhanov was a guarantee of success for the Institute of physics of semiconductors.

The electronic resource that is devoted to life and work of academician A.V.Rzhanov consists of a biobibliographic index, tables of contents of monographs, and of the collection issues of full texts of certain works of the scientist and publications about him.

The biobibliographic index reflects proceedings, editorial works, certificates of authorship on inventions and patents, publicistic articles, and public speeches, as well as the literature on the scientist.

When working on the biobibliography catalogues, we used stocks and electronic resources of the State Public Scientific Technical Library of SB RAS (including the databases "Scientific-and-educational complex of Novosibirsk" and "Science in Siberia and in the Far East"), and ofthe library of the Institute of semiconductor physics of SB RAS, as well as Internet resources.

The materials of the index are arranged chronologically in two basic sections: "Index of works" and "Literature on his life and work".
