Lyev Vasilyevich Ovsyannikov is the outstanding Soviet scientist who has made the great contribution to the development of mechanics and applied mathematics, the representative of the scientific school of academician M.A.Lavrentyev .

Electronic resource that is devoted to his life and activity is composed of a biobibliographic index, tables of contents of monographs, and of the collection issues of full texts of some works of the scientist and publications about him.

Scientific works, editorial works, publicistic articles and public speeches, as well as the literature on the scientist are covered in the biobibliographic index. The resource founders express their thanks to the collaborators of the library of M.A.Lavrentyev Institute of hydrodynamics of SB RAS and especially to bibliographer L.D.Vakulenko for the given materials on L.V.Ovsyannikov's bibliography.

When working on the biobibliography, the catalogues, stocks, and electronic resources of State Public Scientific Technical Library of SB RAS and of the library of M.A.Lavrentyev Institute of hydrodynamics have been used .

The index materials are arranged chronologically in two basic sections: «Index of works of L.V.Ovsyannikov» and «Literature on his life and work».
