Academician Yury Leonidovich Ershov is an eminent Russian scientist, the known professional in the field of algebra and mathematical logic. Fundamental findings he got have solved a series of the known problems, have opened new directions of research and have made a large contribution to the development of algebra and mathematical logic, together with theoretical programming and philosophy of mathematics. He has published over 500 works, the majority of which has been translated abroad and has gained a high estimate of professionals. Yury Leonidovich is the first winner of the academician A.I.Maltsev premium of the Russian academy of sciences. He has been awarded by the Labour Red Banner Order, as well as the Honour Badge Order and the Order of Merit for the Fatherland.

The electronic resource that is devoted to the life and work of academician Yu.L.Ershov is made up of a biobibliographic index, tables of contents of several monographs and collection issues, links to full texts of certain transactions of the scientist and publications about him.

The biobibliographic index reflects learned works, editorial works, publicistic papers, and the literature on the scientist. Founders of the resource express their thanks to the collaborators the library of the S.L.Sobolev Institute of Mathematics of SB RAS for the consultations and for the given materials to the biobibliography.

This work also made use of the biobibliographic index «YUrii Lyeonidovich YErshov» that had been prepared and published in the Institute of Mathematics in 2010 (compiled by: V.M.Pestunova, A.I.Martynova; the scientific editor S.S.Goncharov), together with catalogues, stocks, and electronic resources of SPSL SB RAS and the library of SB RAS Institute of Mathematics. Search has been made also over abstract journals, over the Annals of journal papers, over the Book annals, and the Annals of newspaper articles. Scopus database, Web of Science and Zentralblatt MATH databases, Math-Net.Ru mathematical portal, electronic catalogues, and databases of large Russian and foreign libraries have been used.
