Academician Sergey Nikolaevich Bagaev is an outstanding expert in the field of quantum electronics and laser physics.

The main lines of scientific research of S.N.Bagaev are the nonlinear laser spectroscopy of ultrahigh resolution, optical standards of frequency and time and their application in high-precision physical experiments.

S.N.Bagaev gives great attention to the promotion of advanced achievements of science into practice. Under his guide, a complex program is being implemented on the creation and application of high-precision laser instrumentation in metrology, geophysics, medicine, ecology, and in alternative fields.

The electronic resource that deals with the life and work of academician S.N.Bagaev is made up of a biobibliographic index, tables of contents of monographs, and of the collection issues of full texts of certain works of the scientist and publications about him.

The biobibliographic index reflects learned works, editorial works, certificates of authorship on inventions and patents, publicistic articles, and public speeches, as well as the literature on the scientist.

The biobibliography of S.N.Bagaev has been compiled by A.O.Shishkina, the head of the library of the SB RAS Institute of laser physics .

The catalogues, stocks, and electronic resources of the State Public Scientific Technical Library of SB RAS (including the databases "Scientific-and-educational complex of Novosibirsk" and "Science in Siberia and in the Far East") and the library of the SB RAS Institute of laser physics, as well as the Internet resources have been used while working on the biobibliography.

Materials of the index are arranged chronologically in two basic sections: "Index of works of S.N.Bagaev" and "Literature on his life and work".
