The book presents selected works of Shor oral folklore that is one of the small aboriginals of Southern Siberia, living in the south of Kemerovo Region.
The volume includes typical samples of Shor folklore that occur up to now: the «Ak Kan» legend, fairy tales, myths, and legends; ceremonial and lyric genre samples. Along with archival records and published texts of the early-middle 20th century, the book includes some materials that were collected during field expeditions of 1994-2007. They demonstrate the modern state of Shor folklore.
