It is quite often difficult for the experts to find the monographs of colleagues published abroad. Domestic catalogues do not contain these publications, and libraries collect such publications in the nonconventional way. The scientists prefer to hold the author's copies, sometimes acquired for currency, in personal libraries.

To eliminate such gaps in the bibliography of the Siberian science, the Branch of State Public Scientific Technical Library of the Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Science has made an attempt to collect an information on foreign editions of works of scientists of the Novosibirsk scientific centre and on the conferences, which took place in Novosibirsk, but published in foreign languages.
